Job summary

Erasmus MC in Rotterdam seeks a consultant staff surgeon within the HPB & Transplant Surgery division of the Department of Surgery. The ideal candidate has particular expertise in transplantation surgery, including liver and kidney transplantation, living donor kidney procurement, and deceased donor multi-organ procurement.

You will participate in on-call rotas, actively contribute to transplant and HPB MDTs, and be involved in perioperative and outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Expertise in transplantation surgery, including liver and kidney transplantation.
• Experience with living donor kidney procurement and deceased donor multi-organ procurement.
• Willingness to participate in MDTs and perioperative/outpatient care.
• Leading role in scientific research, especially kidney transplantation and machine perfusion technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rota and MDT meetings related to transplantation and HPB.
• Contribute to perioperative and outpatient care within the division.
• Engage in education and training activities within the department.
• Lead or participate in research initiatives related to transplantation and renal perfusion technologies.
