Job summary

Together AI, the AI Native Cloud, is seeking a senior storage engineer to operate, scale, and optimize multi-petabyte AI storage systems at scale. You will architect storage paths, integrate Vast, Weka, Ceph, and Lustre, and build Kubernetes-native operators for automated provisioning and strict multi-tenancy.

You will optimize data throughput per GPU node, design multi-tier caching, and contribute to open-source storage projects, collaborating with GPU teams across thousands of nodes.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in storage engineering for multi-petabyte scale systems.
• Strong coding skills in Go and Python; production tooling experience.
• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native storage in production environments.
• Experience with distributed storage systems (Ceph, Lustre, Vast, WekaFS, GPFS).
• Experience with S3/MinIO or object storage and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement storage strategy and roadmap for Together AI’s GPU fleet.
• Scale multi-petabyte AI/ML storage with Vast, Weka, Ceph integration and cost-optimized tiering.
• Develop intelligent caching and tiered storage to maximize IOPS and throughput.
• Ensure secure, production-grade multi-tenancy with L2/L3 network isolation.
• Code Kubernetes storage operators and controllers for automated provisioning and quotas.
• Optimize end-to-end data paths for training and inference on thousands of nodes.
