Flexport is hiring a Staff Software Engineer: Applied AI in Amsterdam. You’ll build cutting-edge AI agents and AI-powered applications that make Flexport's operations smarter, faster, and more autonomous.

You will design end-to-end solutions addressing customs, document processing, and exception management, collaborating with operators and leadership to ship high-impact software. You’ll influence product direction with 10+ years of software experience, strong LLM fluency, and a proven track

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience, with leadership or senior contributor roles.
Extensive experience with large language models in production or practical projects.
Full-stack capability in TypeScript/Next.js and modern web tech.
Strong product sense and ability to ship impactful AI solutions.
Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving teams.

Responsibilities

Design and ship end-to-end AI agents and AI-powered applications for logistics operations.
Collaborate across teams to align stakeholders and deliver value quickly.
Move ideas to production, treating deployments as learning opportunities.
Work with operators, domain experts, and leadership to solve complex problems.
