Job summary

Qualogy Nederland is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a focused three-month assignment to design and build production-ready AI agents. This hands-on role requires taking defined use cases from requirements to working implementations with Claude Code, Azure, and Terraform.

What does this mean for you?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a focused three month assignment to design and build production ready AI agents. This is a highly hands on role with a clear objective: take defined agent use cases from requirements to working implementations. Given the duration of the assignment, we are looking for someone who can contribute from the start. Strong practical experience with Claude Code, AI agent development, Azure and Terraform is therefore essential.

You will work closely with data engineers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders to build agent capabilities that integrate with our enterprise data landscape.

What you will do

• Design and build AI agents for data and business use cases.
• Use Claude Code extensively as part of the day to day engineering workflow.
• Build agent workflows integrating enterprise data, APIs and tools.
• Develop solutions using Python and relevant agent frameworks and SDKs.
• Implement tool calling, context management, structured outputs, validation, error handling and guardrails.
• Integrate agents with our Azure and Databricks data landscape.
• Build automated testing and evaluations for agent accuracy and reliability.
• Provision and manage required Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD, monitoring, logging and appropriate security controls.
• Take technical ownership from design through deployment and production readiness.
• Establish reusable patterns that can be adopted by the wider engineering team.

Mandatory experience

Because this is a focused three month assignment, candidates should have recent hands on experience

with:

• Claude Code, with the ability to use it productively from the start.
• Building AI agents and agent based applications.Microsoft Azure and production cloud engineering.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Python and strong software engineering practices.
• CI/CD, Git, automated testing and deployment.
• Building secure, reliable and observable production solutions.

We are looking for practical implementation experience rather than only conceptual knowledge or certifications.

Preferred experience

• Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Anthropic Claude models and APIs.
• Agent orchestration frameworks.
• LLM and agent evaluation.
• Enterprise data products and semantic layers.
• Azure identity, security, Key Vault and monitoring.

What success looks like

Within the three month assignment, you will deliver working agent capabilities designed with production use in mind, including testing, security, observability and maintainability.

Beyond delivering the initial use cases, you will establish reusable engineering patterns that enable the team to continue developing and evolving agent based solutions after the assignment.
