Your mission

Are you commercially minded, hands‑on and ready to make a real impact at Europe's fastest growing breakfast challenger? Then we're looking for you. As our first Senior Buyer, you will take ownership of Holie's procurement process: from annual supplier deals to sourcing projects, cost price governance and NPD support. You will be building this role from the ground up, which means real scope and real responsibility from day one.

This is a new role at Holie's. That means you will help define what great procurement looks like here, but it also means you need to be flexible, things are not always fully set up yet and occasionally you need to step in where the team needs you. We are looking for someone who is genuinely driven to deliver results and treats every euro of spend as if it were their own.

This is what you'll be doing

As our Senior Buyer you are the commercial engine behind our supplier relationships. You own how we buy across a €24m spend base and you’re expected to make every euro count. In this role, you report to the Head of Finance & Operations and work closely with supply chain, NPD, finance and sales.

• Supplier development: You prepare and execute (annual) deals across our supplier base: producers, co-packers, packaging and logistics. You build detailed cost price models, run market benchmarks and walk into every negotiation fully prepared. But you don't stop at the deal: you work with suppliers to improve planning, reduce waste and drive performance. You see every supplier relationship as a long‑term partnership, not just a contract.
• Sourcing & procurement projects: You drive sourcing projects and tenders across categories, find new suppliers where needed and continuously look for improvement opportunities across our spend base. There is a strong pipeline of projects ready to be picked up: you bring the structure and follow‑through to get them done.
• NPD & innovation support: You are part of new product development from the start. You bring in supplier options, get quotes, assess commercial and operational fit and make sure cost‑to‑make is factored into every product decision from day one.
• Cost price management & commercial control: You own the cost prices in our ERP (Exact Online), and keep them accurate, up to date and properly maintained. You build the system for how and when they are updated. You monitor invoices against agreed rates, flag deviations and follow up on credits and claims. You prevent leakage before it happens.
• Other support: You handle indirect procurement where relevant: IT, software, insurance, marketing, etc.

What you bring

• 5+ years in procurement or buying. Preferably in FMCG, food or a similarly fast‑moving environment. You have personally led supplier negotiations, not just supported them. You know how to build a cost model, run a structured process and close a deal. Strong in Excel and comfortable with ERP systems. You have done this before and know what good looks like.
• Hands‑on and ownership‑driven: You get things done without waiting for perfect conditions, following through until it's actually done.
• Entrepreneurial and commercially minded: You spot opportunities, act on them and think in margins, numbers and trade‑offs, backing your decisions with data.
• Strong communicator: Fluent in Dutch and English. You can hold your own in a tough commercial conversation.
• Scale‑up ready:You thrive when not everything is defined yet. You like building while running, and you see this new role within Holie’s as an opportunity, not a risk.
