Job summary

HE Space is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer for our Noordwijk, Netherlands test facility to enhance environmental testing for space missions. You will improve facilities, support campaigns, and ensure safety and standards across multiple test environments.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related technical field, at least 4 years of relevant experience, and hands-on TVAC, vibration, acoustic, and EMC testing expertise.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with environmental test facilities used for space hardware.
• Experience with TVAC, Vibration, Acoustic, and EMC testing.
• Knowledge of AIV processes for space systems.
• Experience supporting environmental test campaigns for spacecraft or subsystems.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary international teams.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing environmental test facilities, processes, and test methods.
• Develop and implement new test facilities and testing techniques for future space missions and technologies.
• Supervise and support maintenance, calibration, repair, and operations across environmental test facilities.
• Provide technical support to Test Centre customers throughout test campaigns.
• Support the planning and execution of environmental test activities for spacecraft, payloads, and subsystems.
• Participate in technical project reviews and tender evaluation boards within AIV activities.
• Ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards and procedures.
