Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands, seeks a university student for an internship in the Materials, Environments and Contamination Control Section (TEC-MSE). You will contribute to test methodology development for thermal properties of adhesives and potting materials using TGA, DSC, TMA, DMA and rheometry.

Qualifications

• University student enrolled for the full duration of the internship.
• Master's level studies in a relevant field are required.
• Good knowledge of English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Literature research on common materials and familiarisation with existing techniques.
• Familiarisation with TEC-MSE laboratory and instruments.
• Implementation of experimental test campaigns.
• Data analysis, uncertainty evaluation and documentation of results.
• Contribute to the development of new test methodologies and a materials properties database.
