Job summary

ESA ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands, invites a university student in their final or penultimate year of a Master’s program to join the ACES Data Analysis Support team. You will contribute to the analysis of MicroWave Link MWL measurements and help refine corrections for signal propagation delays, while gaining hands-on experience with high-precision time and frequency signals in a space environment.

The internship offers exposure to international collaboration across major clocks and missions,

Qualifications

• University student in final or penultimate year of Master’s degree.
• Must be enrolled at the university for the entire duration of the internship.
• Good knowledge of English or French (working languages).
• Interest in time and frequency metrology and space clock science.
• Willingness to work in a diverse, international team.

Responsibilities

• Cross-check and validate corrections for signal propagation delays.
• Improve modelling and calibration of instrumental effects.
• Improve carrier cycle ambiguity resolution using code phase measurements.
• Help improve the data analysis pipeline by optimizing processes.
• Contribute to ACES science through MWL data analyses in areas like relativity tests and clock comparisons.
