Job summary

Qualifications

• University degree plus ~5 years in high-value CAPEX procurement in renewables/oil & gas.
• Experience in offshore execution or shipping with procurement exposure.
• Strong track record with large spend suppliers in international settings.
• Knowledge of wind project FIDIC contracts is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously while enabling teamwork.
• Familiarity with project management and lean process adoption.
• Negotiation experience on installation vessel contracts and standard forms (FIDIC/LOGIC/BIMCO).
• Interest in mentoring junior procurement staff.
• Strong English skills (spoken and written).
• EU tender experience is advantageous.

Join us as a Sourcing Manager Offshore Logistics & Foundations and take ownership of strategic sourcing activities across offshore logistics, transport & installation (T&I), and foundations.

In this role, you will lead end-to-end procurement processes, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate key contracts, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders. Working with a global supplier network, you will secure best‑value solutions that support Vattenfall’s transition to a more sustainable energy future while maximizing business value and project success.
Your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire procurement process for assigned categories and projects, from strategy development to contract delivery.
• Act as the single point of contact and chief negotiator with suppliers, gathering input from all relevant stakeholders.
• Develop, tailor, and oversee procurement strategies, contracts, PQQ and ITT materials to meet project-specific needs.
• Steer and guide core tender teams, ensuring compliance, transparency, and fair competition throughout supplier selection until contract finalization.
• Drive stakeholder management, aligning procurement decisions with category strategies and business protocols for mutual benefit.
• Promote and implement best-in-class procurement practices, advancing supply chain development within designated categories.

Location
Kolding, Amsterdam, Hamburg or London, regular business trips are required.

Your profile

As a person you are a strategic thinker with win-win mindset, an effective communicator at senior level of the organization with superior interpersonal skills, proven commercial mindset and an excellent ability to build networks.

• A relevant University degree or equal, with about 5 years of experience working on high value CAPEX procurement projects, preferably in large industrial renewables projects, oil and gas, or similar complex industries.
• Alternatively a background within operational offshore execution or shipping industry combined with relevant procurement or commercial related education and experience.
• Significant experience in driving business with large spend suppliers in an international environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of wind projects FIDIC contracts would be a distinct advantage.
• Ability to work in autonomy and take the initiative, while encouraging team work. “Can do” mentality.
• Knowledge of project management processes and experience of driving change towards lean processes and ensures adoption and improvement of defined standards.
• Good negotiation experience on a range of Installation vessel supplier contracts or standard forms of contract (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, etc.).
• Interest in and experience with supporting and mentor junior roles or newcomers to procurement.
• Strong command of English, both verbally and written.
• EU tender experience and expertise would be advantageous.
