Job summary

Intralox is seeking a Sourcing Category Manager for the Wehl area to own regional sourcing strategies for technical categories and coordinate with U.S.-based teams on globally managed suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or a related field.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience leading supplier negotiations.
• Proven ability to build supplier relationships and improve performance.

As our EMEA Equipment Business continues to grow, we’re looking for a Sourcing Category Manager to join us in Wehl. If you’re strategically minded, commercially astute, and confident influencing across teams and regions, this role offers the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies for technical products and components, strengthen supplier performance, and improve category-related decision-making across the business.

Our sourcing organization connects suppliers, internal stakeholders, projects, and operational needs across Europe, the Americas, Brazil, and China, working to strengthen sourcing processes, improve supplier performance, and support informed category decisions throughout the business.

As Sourcing Category Manager, you will own regionally managed categories - primarily technical products and components - while coordinating closely with the responsible Category Managers in our established U.S.-based sourcing organization on globally managed categories and suppliers.

You will also help further strengthen category-management capability within the Equipment Europe team, an area of increasing importance as the business grows, including its expanding focus on subsystem solutions - directly supporting Intralox's ability to scale and keep delivering reliable, innovative solutions to our customers.

Your impact will be both external (supplier relationships, negotiations, commercial performance) and internal (stakeholder alignment, requirements clarity, commitment to sourcing decisions) - the latter being vital to your success. This is an individual-contributor role offering broad exposure and the opportunity to develop through cross-regional collaboration and supplier-management ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Own sourcing strategies for assigned categories to maximize value and support business growth.
• Coordinate with global Category Managers (mainly U.S.-Based) on globally managed categories and shared suppliers and represent European requirements in cross-regional discussions.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contracting activities to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
• Manage supplier performance and relationships to improve quality, delivery, cost, and reliability.
• Establish and optimize sourcing processes, policies, and best practices that enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and regions to align sourcing decisions with operational and strategic needs.
• Proactively identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply-chain risks within your categories.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or a closely related field.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills, including experience preparing for and leading supplier negotiations.
• Proven ability to build supplier relationships and improve supplier performance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across technical, operational, and business teams.
• A structured, process-oriented mindset and the ability to navigate a complex, cross-regional organization.
• Fluent Dutch and English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with sourcing software, procurement systems, technical categories, equipment, or subsystems.
• Experience within an industrial, machinery, automation, manufacturing, operational, or project-based environment.
• Exposure to international supplier networks and global sourcing activities.
• Experience supporting procurement transformation, process improvement, or category management initiatives.

Location and travel

This position is based in Wehl, with a preference for full-time office attendance. Occasional (international) travel is required to visit suppliers and collaborate with colleagues across regions.
