• At least a bachelor’s degree (University or HBO) in Information Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in designing and implementing JAVA components.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with seniors.
• Experience with Architecture and Application Integration.
• Strong analytical skills and an innovative, self-motivated attitude.
• Proficient Dutch and English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and monitor the overall system architecture of platforms and products.
• Handover internal and external business cases, ensuring alignment with the architecture.
• Design reusable, scalable platforms to reduce large-scale replacements.
• Create solutions beyond architecture boundaries for repeatable client offerings.
• Advise clients on design improvements and propose new designs.
• Engage externally and think out of the box to provide pragmatic working solutions.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of technology, innovation, and customer needs — designing pragmatic, reusable, and scalable solutions while working closely with both internal teams and clients.

• The Solution Architect contributes to independently setting up, maintain and monitoring the overall system architecture of and regarding our platforms and products.
• You are responsible for the handover of our internal and external business cases, and you make sure that our overall solution falls within the framework of our system architecture.
• Your design is based on reusable and scalable platforms so large-scale replacement projects will be reduced in the near future.
• The Solution Architect can design solutions beyond the boundaries of system architecture which can be sold to our clients as a repetitive standard.
• Furthermore, the Solution Architect advises our clients regarding design improvements and/or comes up with a proposal for new designs.
• As a Solution Architect you are actively oriented externally and you are constantly thinking “out of the box” to provide a pragmatic working solution.

Job requirements & skills

• At least a bachelor’s degree (University or HBO), e.g. (Technical) Information Technology.
• At least 5 years of work experience in designing and implementing JAVA components.
• You are good at working independently, but also in a team or together with seniors.
• Experienced with Architecture and Application Integration.
• Good analytical skills.
• Innovative and self-motivated attitude.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English languages (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
