Michael Page (Netherlands) is seeking a hands-on Senior Solution Architect in Arnhem to own the end-to-end IT architecture and solution design. You will work across a diverse application landscape with SAP at the core, translating business needs into scalable, secure solutions and guiding projects from concept to implementation.

You will influence technology strategy, partner with senior stakeholders, and ensure delivery across Operations, Sales, and Finance in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education or equivalent work and thinking level in Business IT, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect or equivalent.
• Fluent Dutch and good English; SAP knowledge in ERP-driven environments is essential.

Job Description

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will take ownership of the organization's end-to-end IT architecture and solution design. You will operate across a diverse application landscape of approximately 75 systems, with SAP playing a central role within the business.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, key users, and IT specialists, you will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions. You will contribute to strategic decision-making, guide project delivery from concept to implementation, and help shape the technology roadmap.

This position offers significant autonomy and visibility, allowing you to influence technology decisions across Operations, Sales, Finance, and other business domains.

• Design and govern end-to-end solution architectures across the enterprise landscape;
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, user stories, and architecture documentation;
• Partner with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and business challenges;
• Drive solution delivery from concept, analysis, and design through implementation;
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards;
• Advise business and IT leadership on technology strategy and future transformation initiatives;
• Collaborate with development, functional, and project teams to ensure successful project execution;
• Identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, and process improvement;
• Support integration initiatives involving SAP and other enterprise applications.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a hands-on and business-oriented Solution Architect who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will bring:

• Bachelor-level education or equivalent work and thinking level in Business IT, Information Technology, or related disciplines;
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, IT Strategist, Enterprise Architect, or Senior Technical/Functional Consultant;
• Strong experience within complex enterprise environments;
• Extensive SAP knowledge and experience working in ERP-driven organizations;
• Experience with SAP BTP, integration platforms, APIs, or related technologies is considered a strong advantage;
• Proven ability to work end-to-end, from requirements gathering through implementation and adoption;
• Experience translating business requirements into structured solutions, user stories, and documentation;
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
• A proactive, pragmatic, and ownership-driven mindset;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;
• Fluent Dutch and good in English.
