Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Netherlands is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and test control systems for our high-speed packaging machines.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, and project engineering colleagues to deliver smart, reliable machine solutions and support commissioning both remotely and on customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation and motion control.
• Design, develop, and test control systems for high-speed packaging machines.
• Willing to travel up to 30% nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and maintain PLC and motion control software for high-speed packaging machines
• Configure and implement Mpac HMI solutions
• Test software during workshop build and machine validation
• Conduct IO tests, functional tests, and support FATs
• Support commissioning and machine start-ups at customer sites (national & international; max. 30% travel)
• Analyse technical issues and translate them into practical software solutions
• Contribute to standardization and improvement of software libraries
• Identify opportunities to enhance machine performance and reliability

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer , you will design, develop, improve, and test the control systems of our high‑speed packaging machines. You’ll work on complex motion applications and contribute to both new machine concepts and enhancements of existing platforms. Your ideas and insights matter, you’ll actively help shape technical decisions and innovation.
