Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Thinkwise Engineer to join a DevOps team responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting Thinkwise‑based applications across complex enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in Thinkwise Software Factory, IAM, data modelling, integrations, and production support. As a senior engineer, you will guide and mentor team members, occasionally act as Team Lead, and ensure delivery excellence across ITSM and DevSecOps KPIs.
You will work across highly integrated retail and supply chain systems, legacy environments (AS400, SAP), and multi‑vendor ecosystems, requiring strong analytical capability, ownership, and learning agility.
Key Responsibilities
Thinkwise Development & Maintenance
- Maintain and enhance Thinkwise applications using Thinkwise Software Factory and IAM.
- Develop and modify business logic using Thinkwise models.
- Build and customize UI components for web and Windows interfaces.
- Perform data modelling within the Thinkwise platform.
Integration & Backend Engineering
- Work with Java applications, enterprise backend APIs, and SQL Server.
- Troubleshoot Java APIs and logs; perform query analysis and performance tuning.
- Validate and reconcile data across systems.
- Implement and support REST API integrations via the Indicium layer.
- Analyse data flows and integration dependencies across applications.
Retail & Supply Chain Domain
- Understand dependencies between Thinkwise applications and backend systems (AS400, SAP).
- Support workflows related to logistics, pricing, ordering, and other retail processes.
Incident & Production Support
- Lead incident triaging, resolution, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Work with ITSM tools and ticketing workflows.
- Contribute to delivery KPIs: SLA adherence, MTTR reduction, escalation management.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior engineers and occasionally act as Team Lead.
- Collaborate with business SMEs, SAP/AS400 teams, and multi‑vendor stakeholders.
- Navigate low‑documentation environments and reverse‑engineer legacy systems.
