Job summary

Amoria Bond is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a 6-month contract in Rotterdam. The role focuses on reliability, availability, performance and observability of critical platforms in an AWS environment.

You will implement automation, monitoring and proactive problem solving to improve platform stability and resilience, leveraging Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and CloudWatch, and collaborating with cloud, development and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as an SRE, DevOps engineer or platform engineer.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and AWS CloudWatch.
• Experience with Terraform or IaC tooling.
• Automation and scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git and modern cloud environments.
• Understanding of logging, metrics, alerting and distributed systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Site Reliability Engineer – 6 Month Contract – Rotterdam

The role

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a 6-month contract in Rotterdam. You will work in a AWS environment, focusing on the reliability, availability, performance and observability of critical platforms and services.

You will combine SRE practices with automation, monitoring and proactive problem solving to improve platform stability, scalability and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, availability and performance of services running in AWS.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production environments.
• Build and improve observability across applications and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
• Work with AWS CloudWatch for infrastructure and application monitoring.
• Automate operational processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement structural improvements.
• Improve deployment, operational and incident-management processes.
• Define and improve alerting, dashboards and service-level monitoring.
• Work with development, cloud and infrastructure teams to improve system resilience.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reliability, scalability and performance.

Skills

• Proven experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
• Strong experience with observability and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and AWS CloudWatch.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch and IAM.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Experience with automation and scripting, preferably Python or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git and modern cloud environments.
• Understanding of logging, metrics, alerting and distributed systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with production-critical systems.
• Strong communication skills and an ownership-driven mindset.
