Job summary

Burger King Netherlands, operated by SSP Netherlands, is seeking a Shift Manager to be the heartbeat of the store. You lead and energize the team, brief clearly at start of each shift, and ensure smooth kitchen and floor operations with hands-on coaching.

You’ll manage cash, stock, hygiene, and safety while maintaining high guest satisfaction. This role emphasizes on-floor presence, weekends availability, and opportunities for growth within SSP Group.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in hospitality, food service, or retail.
• Good command of Dutch and/or English.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate your team during each shift.
• Kick off with a short, clear, and energizing team briefing.
• Organize tasks, keeping the flow in the kitchen and on the floor, and step in whenever needed.
• Coach and train new team members so they can grow with you.
• Keep everything on track: from cash handling to stock orders, and from hygiene to safety.
• Act as the go-to person for both guests and your team whenever questions arise.
• Spend at least 80% of your time on the floor – right where the action is.
