Job summary

Burger King in Arnhem, operated by SSP Netherlands – the proud operator of Burger King, is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the team, drive energy, and ensure guests receive outstanding service during busy shifts.

You will spend 80% on the floor, conduct briefings, organize tasks, coach new staff, and manage cash, stock, hygiene, and safety. Dutch/English language skills are required, and weekend work is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in hospitality, food service, or retail.
• A positive, guest-focused attitude – you know how to make people happy.
• Natural leadership skills – you take responsibility and guide a team.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
• Good command of Dutch and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate your team during each shift.
• Kick off with a short, energizing team briefing.
• Organize tasks, keeping the flow in the kitchen and on the floor, and step in whenever needed.
• Coach and train new team members so they can grow with you.
• Keep cash handling, stock orders, hygiene and safety on track.
• Act as the go-to person for guests and your team when questions arise.
• Spend at least 80% of your time on the floor – right where the action is.

What will you be doing?
