Job description

We are a fast-growing sewing school located in Rotterdam, now opening a new location in Utrecht, with amazing students creating beautiful outfits.

Role Description

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating with people. The language of instruction is English. The sewing teacher will primarily be responsible for teaching, as well as communication, developing new sewing courses (in collaboration with the management), and recording educational videos for social media. We provide existing courses for you to teach. The position is on-site in Utrecht.

You can start with 8 hours per week, with the possibility to expand to 36 hours. The work schedule is negotiable, primarily on weekdays evenings from 18:00 to 22:00 and on weekends starting at 10:00.

Qualifications

• Education in sewing
• At least 3 years of experience working in a studio or independently in tailoring
• Conversational English and knowledge of sewing terminology in English
• Knowledge of pattern making
• Passion for teaching and working with students
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Patience and conflict resolution skills
• Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required
