Service Engineer / Electrical Systems Engineer / UPS Engineer required to join a leading global electrical engineering manufacturer.

The successful Service Engineer / Electrical Systems Engineer / UPS Engineer shall work fully remote, covering Southern Netherlands, responsible for maintaining, servicing, commissioning and troubleshooting uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and battery energy storage units to ensure their reliable operation and to provide technical guidance on critical power requirements and UPS solutions.

The Service Engineer / Electrical Systems Engineer / UPS Engineer will possess expertise in technical electrical engineering products, including power controls, electrical distribution, power electronics, capacitors, rectifiers, three-phase voltage, generators, UPS systems, critical power supplies, battery systems, energy storage units, AC/DC systems, or equivalent. Full product training provided.

Electrical engineering qualification, electrical degree or UPS System Certification or similar is required.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and commissioning of UPS system and associated products including battery storage systems, power electronics, and critical power equipment.
  • Install, repair, and service uninterruptible power supplies at various commercial and industrial sites and data centres across the South of Netherlands.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on existing UPS system installations.
  • Perform routine service and repairs on UPS systems, including component replacements and system reconfiguration as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their power requirements, provide technical guidance, and recommend appropriate UPS solution.
  • Liaise with different engineering departments
  • Prior experience as a Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, UPS Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Electrical Systems Engineer or similar within electrical engineering / critical power.
  • Technical Proficiency in electrical and electronic engineering principles, including a strong understanding of power electronics, three-phase voltage systems, battery management systems, energy storage units, and related components.
  • Flexibility for overtime and participation in on-call rotation.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a reputable electrical manufacturing company.
  • Electrical engineering qualification, electrical degree or UPS System Certification or similar is required.
  • A Dutch driving license and willingness to cover the Holland region and stay away when required.
