Job summary

Next Generation Sensors B.V. is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Engineering Intern to work on cutting‑edge sensor technologies from concept through production.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and innovative environment to translate market needs into practical engineering solutions. The internship offers exposure to hardware/software integration, hands-on testing, and documentation, with a focus on rapid, real-world impact in areas like food safety and security

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages (Ideally Python)
• Basic understanding of Raspberry Pi
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of electrical safety and the ability to do safety checks.
• Experience with testing, validation, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate advanced sensor systems and related technologies.
• Translate customer and market requirements into engineering solutions.
• Support product development throughout the complete lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to production and deployment.
• Conduct testing, data analysis, and performance optimization.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and business development teams.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and product improvement.
• Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of technical issues.
