Job summary

Empiric is seeking a Senior Validation Engineer to lead post-silicon validation and characterization for timing/MEMS semiconductor products. The role involves developing validation plans, coordinating with MEMS and circuit teams, and driving production-release readiness across complex environments.

The ideal candidate will design automated test solutions, integrate ATE, and mentor junior engineers while delivering robust data-driven improvements for silicon performance.

Qualifications

• Lead post-silicon validation and characterization of semiconductor timing/MEMS products.
• Develop and execute validation, characterization and product release plans.
• Test and evaluate new silicon, identifying performance issues and recommending design improvements.
• Design and develop automated test solutions for silicon validation and production release.
• Develop and validate PCB test platforms and firmware for automated data acquisition and analysis.
• Perform engineering failure analysis and root-cause investigation on hardware issues.
• Develop test and analysis software using Python, MATLAB, C and/or C++.
• Integrate ATE and test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with MEMS, mixed-signal and circuit design teams.
• Drive improvements to validation, characterization and production methodologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
