Job summary

TomTom is seeking a Senior UX Designer for the Map Visualisation team. You will shape 2D/3D geospatial data styling and delivery across TomTom products, collaborating with engineers and product managers to translate cartographic intent into production styles.

You will work on end-to-end cartographic design, influence map rendering, styles, and SDKs, and apply AI to accelerate design loops. This role emphasizes cross-functional impact and high visual fidelity.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping software as a designer embedded in a product team.
• Strong understanding of cartography principles and map visualisation.
• Experience designing multi-zoom digital maps and 3D map content.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine 2D and 3D map visualisations from concept to production.
• Evolve core map styles for readability and performance across platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers on map data structures, renderers and SDKs.
• Make trade-offs between visual fidelity, performance, and platform constraints.
• Define requirements for cartographic tooling and improve workflows.
