Basic-Fit in Tilburg is hiring a Senior TypeScript Developer. You will shape how the team works, focus on backend while stepping into frontend when needed, and work with a cross-functional team.

You'll build APIs that scale to millions of requests, define SLIs, own non-functional topics like security and performance, and help adopt AI in development. The role offers a competitive gross salary and benefits, and you join a 6-country growing tech effort.

• Demonstrated experience with at least part of our tech stack and willingness to share knowledge.
• Ability to manage risk and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining APIs that handle millions of requests without breaking a sweat.
• Defining Service Level Objectives for the APIs and systems in our platform.
• Driving structural improvements to work towards those objectives.
• Jumping into frontend code when a feature, bug, or architectural decision calls for it.
• Supporting teams with documentation, architectural design, and tackling complex bugs.
• Co-shaping the long-term engineering roadmap — you have a real say in what we invest in.
• Co-owning non-functional topics like security, privacy, and performance.
• Being a key driver in how we adopt AI in our development process (no prior experience needed — just curiosity and enthusiasm).
