Job summary

Amazon Development Center (Netherlands) B.V. - C80 is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to design and facilitate blended learning for the AGI-DS org.

You will coordinate planning, scheduling, and LMS-based execution, and work with the Training Manager to drive completion and reporting across the network. The role requires German and English at C1, training program development experience, and a passion for scaling innovative training across a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Fluent in German and English at C1 level or above.
• Experience in a training role, or related coaching/mentoring and performance planning.
• Experience developing and implementing training programs.
• Proficiency in English verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom training following the approved curriculum.
• Maintain theoretical proficiency in assigned trainings and stay current on tools and procedures.
• Manage the classroom to ensure an organized learning environment for all trainees.
• Evaluate trainee performance daily and identify opportunities to improve.
• Provide coaching and feedback to trainees and report to the Training Manager.
• Share batch observations to enable corrective action.
• Manage LMS tasks like enrolment, scheduling and troubleshooting.
• Publish training reports per standard templates.
• Collect feedback on training effectiveness and share with stakeholders.
• Communicate progress and needs of ongoing trainings with stakeholders.
• Develop and document new training processes to improve the network.
• Support the Training Manager to drive delivery across the team.

The Senior Training Specialist provides an exceptional learning experience, facilitating blended learning for the AGI-DS org. The role requires the ability to support planning, scheduling, coordination and execution of end-to-end training. The Senior Training Specialist will work closely with the Training Manager to track and drive completion of training reporting and task completion through the Learning Management System (LMS), and support Training Specialists to do the same. Senior Training Specialists also work to identify areas of improvement at a site level and to drive innovation within training approaches, with the goal to scale these innovations to the wider, global network.

Key job responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom training following the approved curriculum.
• Actively work to maintain theoretical proficiency in assigned trainings. Maintain expertise in their current role by staying current on tools, process, procedures, and training techniques.
• Manage the classroom to ensure an organized and productive learning environment for all trainees.
• Evaluate trainee performance on a daily basis to identify opportunity areas and help improve performance accordingly.
• Ensure trainee success by providing coaching & feedback during training and providing feedback to Training Manager on trainee engagement and performance.
• Share batch-related observations with the respective Training Manager so that they can take corrective action.
• Manage relevant tasks within the Learning Management System (LMS), such as enrolment and scheduling of learners & trainings, and troubleshoot any implementation issues.
• Publish training reports as per the agreed standard/template.
• Collect the feedback on the effectiveness of the training programs/modules/content through training surveys, ongoing observations or while taking the course(s) and shares it with the relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate with the relevant stakeholders on the progress and needs of ongoing trainings.
• Develop, maintain and document new processes to continuously improve training across the network.
• Support the Training Manager with delegated tasks to drive training delivery across the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in German and English at C1 level or above
• Experience in a training role, including technical training, or a mix of training, performance management and coaching/mentoring, or experience planning
• Experience developing and implementing training programs
• Proficiency in English verbal and written skills
• Communication skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts and managers
• Excellent collaboration, coordination and organisation skills
• Experience with one-to-many and one-to-one communication skills in both classroom and tutorial settings
• Knowledge of adult learning and training practices
• Experience working with remote teams
• Competent user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience leading and coordinating within a group of peers
• Continuous improvement skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated working knowledge of eLearning development tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, or Flash
• Ability to use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter
• Experience working with a globally-distributed management organization
