Job summary

Impala Terminals Rotterdam seeks a Senior Operator to oversee and execute operational processes, ensuring safe handling of products and coordination with vessel representatives. The role supports maintenance and safety initiatives, working with Shift Supervisors and CCR Operators.

Proficiency in CCR tasks and outside operations is required, with leadership during shifts. Applicants should have 5–10 years in a similar liquid bulk terminal role, MBO Operator B or equivalent, and fluency in Dutch

Qualifications

• Education: MBO Operator B or similar.
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar position in a liquid bulk terminal.
• Fluency in Dutch and English required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor loading and unloading of sea-going vessels and barges, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate operational activities with vessel representatives and ensure proper handling and storage of products.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and mitigate unsafe situations.
• Support maintenance by identifying issues and assisting with repairs.
• Manage shift logs and handovers during shift changes.
• Supervise on-site contractors and enforce work permits and safety guidelines.
• Participate in safety rounds and address hazards or deviations.
