Job summary

WPP Enterprise Solutions in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Technical SEO Specialist to strengthen our technical capabilities across large, complex websites and enterprise clients. You will work with SEO specialists, developers and product teams to translate findings into actionable technical requirements.

This role requires deep knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, server- and client-side rendering implications, internationalisation and large-scale site architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and ability to analyse source code.
• Knowledge of HTTP, web architecture and caching, redirects, headers and CDN behaviour.
• Experience with JavaScript SEO and the implications of client-side and server-side rendering.
• Familiarity with Schema.org, structured data and international websites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced technical SEO audits for large, complex websites, platforms and international domain structures.
• Analyse crawling, indexing and rendering to identify root causes of technical SEO issues.
• Work with modern JavaScript frameworks and rendering architectures (SSR/CSR/SSG).
• Analyse HTML, JavaScript, HTTP requests, response headers, status codes and robots directives.
• Investigate and optimise crawl architecture and internal linking for very large sites.
• Advise on migrations, replatforming and multi-market URL structures.
• Perform log file analysis to understand crawler interactions and improve crawl efficiency.
• Develop scripts and tooling to automate recurring analyses.
• Review technical solutions from an SEO perspective before go-live.
• Collaborate with developers to translate SEO recommendations into technical tickets.
