Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Character Concept Artist (Stylized Games) to lead visual exploration of characters and translate creative direction into production-ready concepts. This fully remote, long-term role offers ownership over character personalities and collaboration with Art Directors, 3D Artists, Animators, and Game Designers.

You will develop thumbnails, turnarounds, and design callouts, ensuring distinctive silhouettes and readable designs across gameplay views.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Character Concept Artist or in a related game development role.
• A portfolio demonstrating stylized character design and strong visual storytelling.
• Excellent understanding of anatomy, shape language, silhouettes, proportions, color theory, and costume design.
• Proficiency in Photoshop or Procreate.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead visual exploration and development of stylized characters for production.
• Create thumbnails, sketches, and turnarounds; develop design callouts for 3D artists.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, 3D artists, Animators, and Game Designers.
• Ensure designs are readable at different gameplay distances and meet production needs.
• Iterate based on feedback while maintaining character personality.
