Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years’ experience as a Senior Structural Engineer within heavy mechanical engineering.
• Experience in offshore or maritime sectors is preferred.
• EU passport or valid NL work permit.
• Strong command of English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Defining and safeguarding design assumptions for complex mechanical projects.
• Performing FEM modelling and structural calculations for heavy (offshore) systems.
• Specifying requirements for purchased components.
• Optimising designs with a focus on material efficiency, dimensions, weight, and maintenance.
• Supervising and guiding the work of fellow structural engineers.
