Job summary

Luo Automation in Delft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who loves building robust software that runs real machines. You will write production-grade Python, help shape system architecture, and ensure our software scales as we deploy more inspection machines worldwide.

You'll design how the brain, eyes, and arms communicate, build CI/CD pipelines, and fix bottlenecks in performance and data flow. Rust experience is a plus and independence is valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production-grade Python experience.
• Experience with hardware integration or industrial software is a plus.
• Self-driven, independent, and able to work on complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Write clean Python code for core applications to stay reliable as we deploy more machines.
• Design how software layers communicate (brain, eyes, arms) for smooth integration.
• Build automated tests and CI/CD pipelines to ensure updates work on hardware.
• Fix performance bottlenecks and data flow issues in existing systems.
• Develop tools for developing, installing and updating software on machines worldwide.
• Contribute to technology choices and evaluate new tools.
