Job summary

Mozilla is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for addons.mozilla.org (AMO) to accelerate review and moderation workflows and deliver resilient features that reach millions of users worldwide.

You’ll work on Python/Django, MySQL, React/TypeScript, and asynchronous processing, modernizing DevHub, Reviewer tools, and internal platforms. You’ll improve CI/CD, observability, documentation, and runbooks while collaborating across design, product, QA, and community contributors.

Qualifications

• Experience building production applications with Python/Django and a focus on reliability.
• Experience improving CI/CD workflows and treating infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of observability: metrics, logging, tracing, SLOs, alerting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver major features and architectural improvements across the Add-ons stack (AMO).
• Establish and maintain engineering standards (code review, readiness, runbooks, incident response).
• Create robust observability systems and data-backed insights.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, QA, and community contributors to deliver end-to-end improvements.
• Mentor peers and contribute to open-source projects.
