Job summary

IQIP is seeking a Senior Software and Data Engineer to shape the future of intelligent offshore installation. You will design, develop, and maintain software applications and data platforms powering Hydrohammer® and PULSE® systems, collecting and using field data for smarter, safer operations.

You’ll lead data pipelines, dashboards, and real-time monitoring across offshore and onshore environments, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and project engineers. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software and/or data engineering roles.
• Experience with data pipeline tools and platforms such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with industrial data protocols such as OPC-UA or Modbus is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications and data platforms that support IQIP’s equipment and operational processes
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for the collection, processing, and storage of operational and sensor data
• Develop dashboards and visualisation tools that provide actionable insights to engineering and project teams
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and project engineers to integrate software solutions into physical equipment systems
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms
• Support the development of real-time monitoring and control systems for offshore and onshore operations
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and maintain clear technical documentation
• Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of continuous improvement
• Stay current with developments in software engineering, data engineering, and industrial IoT
