Job summary

NCC Group in the Netherlands (Rijswijk) is seeking a SOC Analyst to join the Cyber Services and Capabilities team. You will manage and resolve security incidents escalated by Junior analysts, deepen investigations, and coordinate with peers to improve incident response.

You will maintain SOC tools, write incident reports, and mentor junior analysts. The role requires 2–4 years in security, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a relevant security or SOC role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Advanced understanding of cybersecurity concepts and practices.
• Basic programming/scripting proficiency.
• Advanced experience with common SOC and security monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and investigate security incidents escalated from Junior SOC Analysts.
• Perform deeper incident analysis and determine impact and recommended actions.
• Prioritise, classify, and assign incoming alerts.
• Create and refine alert policies to reduce noise.
• Conduct periodic threat hunting on lower-priority alerts.
• Maintain and optimise SOC tools, processes, and documentation.
• Prepare clear incident reports and case templates.
• Support and mentor Junior SOC Analysts.
