Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in Boxmeer, Netherlands is seeking a Senior Specialist - SAP Authorizations and Security Architect. The role combines hands-on SAP security work with architectural leadership across multiple SAP platforms in a hybrid work setup.

You will collaborate with SAP Basis, Security, ABAP, and functional teams to design, implement, and govern SAP security, including GRC, SOX controls, and ITGC activities, while guiding ERP Center of Excellence teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience with SAP Authorizations, Security Design and rollout projects.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, BI and end-to-end SAP Security design/implementation.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud solutions (BTP, Datasphere, Ariba, SolMan/Cloud ALM, IAG/IAM, HANA DB Security) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy, design, and implementation of SAP authorizations across multiple platforms.
• Lead cross-functional projects and guide program-wide initiatives.
• Develop technical strategy and best practices for SAP authorizations.
• Provide security and compliance guidance for ERP initiatives and COE teams.
• Act as SME on GRC, user management, ITGC, and SOX controls activities.
• Coordinate authorization support and drive improvements in authorizations.
