Job description

As our client is growing rapidly, the SAP Platform ART is responsible for the architecture, governance and embedding of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

The SAP Business Technology Platform Team was founded in April 2020 and has been organized around defining the reference architecture, governance, ways of working (WoW) and ART enablement of Agile delivery / DevOps teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Owns a feature end2end and is key contact for a feature
2. Manages and supports stakeholders
3. Stays in dialog with PO on ideas / issues
4. Collaborates with colleagues of ARTs on bringing the right product / services to the ARTs
5. Facilitates down stack tasks (e.g. Infra / Firewall or via Basis)
6. Addresses escalation of impediments (outside) ART with RTE and / or team members / Product Owner
7. Stays connected with Stakeholders on assigned Features
8. Owns the architectural designs made together with the System Architect of the business facing ARTs and in agreement with the SAP Platform System Architect
9. Has cloud consumption / cost awareness and is focused on reducing consumptions to the max with smart solutions

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Excellent understanding of CAP / Node.js
• Knowledge and skilled in various coding languages (e.g. Python)
• Experience with developing using GIT based HANA automated deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of OData / REST services
• Understanding of SAP HANA (2.0 / Cloud), Data Modelling and writing procedures
• Knowledge of SQL, SAP SAC, MS PowerBI
• Bachelor degree or higher
• Strong customer focus, result-orientation and commitment to excellence
• Pro-active personality who can deal with resistance
• Leadership capability, responsibility and authority, ability to steer a team
• A demonstrated ability to perform in high-pressure environments
• Is certified for at least in 1, preferably in 2 BTP areas the engineer works in. Relevant certifications are:
• SAP Certified Associate - Integration Developer
• SAP Certified Professional - Solution Architect - SAP BTP
• SAP Certified Associate - Database Administrator - SAP HANA
• SAP Certified Associate - SAP Build Work Zone - Implementation and Administration
• SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP BTP Extensions with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model
