Lanubia Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP BTP Build Specialist with strong ABAP development and extensibility expertise. The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing cloud and on-prem ABAP applications on SAP BTP, leveraging CAP, Fiori, and extensibility tools.

The ideal candidate will drive extensibility strategies, collaborate with SAP functional teams, and ensure secure, scalable implementations aligned with S/4HANA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SAP development roles, including ABAP in cloud and on-premise environments.
• ABAP RAP experience is required.
• Experience with SAP Extensibility tools (in-app & side-by-side).
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integration and API development.
• Dutch language proficiency; English fluency.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experiencedSAP BTP Build Specialistwith strong expertise in SAP ABAP development and SAP Extensibility tools. This role will involve designing, developing, and enhancing applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), using the latest SAP Extensibility technologies to support custom development and flexible extensions within SAP S/4HANA and related systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ABAP development in cloud and on-premises environments, and knowledge of extensibility options provided by SAP BTP to support scalable, agile, and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development & Customization:
   • Design, development, and implementation of custom applications and extensions on SAP BTP Build using SAP ABAP, SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP), and SAP Fiori.
   • Utilize SAP Extensibility tools, such as in-app and side-by-side extensibility options, to adapt and expand functionality within SAP S/4HANA.
   • Develop APIs, enhance services, and implement cloud-ready applications tailored to business needs.
2. Extensibility Strategy & Best Practices:
   • Lead the implementation of extensibility approaches, utilizing SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Extension Suite, and other tools.
   • Ensure adherence to SAP best practices for extensibility, focusing on maintainability, upgrade stability, and security of custom applications.
   • Implement scalable, reusable components and leverage SAP Fiori design guidelines to ensure a seamless user experience.
3. Collaboration with Functional Teams:
   • Work closely with SAP functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and extension solutions.
   • Provide insights on integration with SAP S/4HANA and support cross-functional teams on aligning the technical approach to business objectives.
4. Quality Assurance & Optimization:
   • Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and performance testing to ensure code quality and performance.
   • Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize code for performance, security, and scalability.
5. Documentation & Training:
   • Document technical specifications, design principles, and best practices.
   • Provide training and guidance to junior developers and other stakeholders on SAP BTP and ABAP extensibility.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in SAP development roles, including hands-on experience with SAP ABAP in both cloud and on-premise environments, and at least 1 or 2 years working with SAP BTP.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAP ABAP development, including ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • Experience with SAP Extensibility tools, such as in-app extensions, side-by-side extensions, and SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Business Application Studio, and SAP BTP Extension Suite.
  • Knowledge of integration to SAP S/4HANA, including event-driven architectures and API development.
• Languages: Dutch proficiency is a precondition, with English fluency required.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications: SAP Certified Development Associate in SAP BTP Extension Suite or SAP ABAP certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP UI5, SAP Mobile Services, and SAP Fiori Elements.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for SAP development, such as CI/CD pipelines for ABAP.
