Job summary
Network Recruitment seeks an experienced Rigging Technician in Middelburg to lead lifting operations across installation, relocation, and maintenance of plant equipment. You will plan and execute lifts safely while inspecting gear and reading plans.

Qualifications
- Qualified Rigger Trade Certificate.
- 5-8 years of post-trade experience in heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with lifting operations and maintenance support.
- Ability to read technical drawings and lifting plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform rigging activities for installation, relocation, maintenance, or removal of plant equipment.
- Plan and execute lifting operations safely per procedures and standards.
- Inspect lifting gear (chains, slings, lifting tackles) and equipment.
- Ensure lifting activities comply with legal and operational requirements.
- Assist with shutdowns, maintenance projects, and equipment upgrades.
- Support maintenance and production during breaks and repairs.
- Participate in plant improvement initiatives and production-related activities.
- Identify hazards and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Complete documentation, inspections, and reporting.
