Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Groningen is seeking a Sr. R&D Scientist for a 2-year contract with potential extension. You will contribute to development of intraocular lenses and optical metrology, design and validate testing methods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D.

Candidates should hold a degree in Optics/Physics/Vision Science with 3+ years of relevant experience and be proficient in Zemax or OSLO. Competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Optics, Physics or Vision Science required or preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in optical design principles and using Zemax/OSLO or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of new concepts for medical devices from ideation to market phase.
• Support design and development of intraocular lenses and optical metrology testing.
• Develop test methods and validation systems for new/existing intraocular lenses.
• Document design requirements, protocols and reports.
