Job summary

Pinely in Amsterdam is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Researcher to join our team. You will lead and mentor researchers, drive research directions, and own end-to-end ML-driven strategies for high-frequency trading across multiple exchanges.

You will design features and models to predict market behavior on sub-second to minute timeframes, develop scalable ML pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to push bold ideas into production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HFT companies.
• Extensive expertise in using ML models for HFT strategies.
• Hands-on experience with ML pipelines across multiple exchanges.
• Experience building non-trivial statistical arbitrage strategies across instruments.
• Willingness to deepen knowledge of high-frequency trading across many exchanges.
• Experience working on entire data-to-production pipeline for trading strategies.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Confident, resilient, highly motivated and proactive.
• Ability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Using ML methods to develop and deploy statistical arbitrage strategies.
• Analyzing market data to explore new trading ideas.
• Designing features and models to predict behavior of hundreds to thousands of securities over 10-second to 10-minute timeframes.
• Working with ML pipelines to support strategy development.
• Driving optimization and advancement of existing models.
• Communicating with internal teams.
• Mentoring and potentially leading team members.
