Pinely, a high-frequency algorithmic trading firm based in Amsterdam, is seeking a Junior Quantitative Researcher to join our trading team. You will analyze global markets and develop profitable trading strategies using statistical models and machine learning techniques.

You will collaborate with developers and fellow researchers in a fast-paced environment where ideas are rapidly tested in production. A degree in a quantitative field and strong Python skills are required; C++ experience is a

Qualifications

• A degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline.
• Strong understanding of probability theory and mathematical statistics.
• Proven record in mathematical competitions or competitive programming (IMO/IOI/ICPC/IMC/Google Hash Code etc.).
• Proficient in Python; some C++ experience; ML familiarity beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving trading algorithms using statistical models and machine learning techniques.
• Analyzing high-frequency trading strategies and market microstructure to identify new opportunities.
• Collaborating with developers and other researchers to implement and optimize strategies.
• Contributing to the improvement of existing strategies and assisting senior researchers in design.
