Funda seeks a QA Engineer to uphold high quality across code, sprints, and releases. You’ll drive continuous deployment, enabling 10 releases a day, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary Scrum team in Amsterdam.
You bring 5+ years in Agile Testing, with test automation (Playwright, .NET), C#, Nuxt, and Kubernetes, plus experience with Jira and Azure DevOps. English fluency and Netherlands residency are required.
A Funda QA Engineer doesn't simply slam buttons hoping that something will break. They don't go for idiot-proof, but instead work on improving the most important and intangible element of all, which is quality: meaning the quality of every line of code, every sprint and every release by the team. That makes a Funda QA Engineer the A in Team Awesome.
As a QA Engineer, you have a choice: you can either slow processes down or speed them up. Your preference speaks for itself. You enable the team to excel. One release per day or per week won't suffice; you go for continuous deployment whereby 10 releases a day become the norm.
You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team, consisting of a Product Owner, UX Designer, and multiple Frontend and Backend Developers, and you will be part of the QA practise within Funda.
We understand better than anyone that QA Engineers are a hot commodity. So why would you want to work at Funda? Apart from the fact that we are a top brand with large volume and traffic, and a riverfront office in Amsterdam (located on the IJ), your future colleague Jome (who broke her personal employment record here at Funda) captures it aptly: "You'd be working with some of the sharpest minds in the industry. It's both challenging and exciting."
You have a wealth of experience in the field of Agile Testing within a Scrum environment. You have experience with test automation and programming (C#, Nuxt, Flutter), perhaps a result of your background as a developer. Additionally, you have experience with a Unit Testing framework (hopefully xunit), with designing, creating and maintaining automated tests (Playwright and integration tests in .NET Core) and with the use of version control systems (like Git and Github). You also have working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Kubernetes.
