Job summary

Manychat is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to design and evolve a Python-based platform layer that extends and scales the eng core. This role builds a bridge layer for high-load, business-critical workflows beyond the core system.

Ideal candidates think in systems, understand distributed architectures, and turn loosely defined problems into stable production solutions while working near platform boundaries and constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python development in production environments.
• Experience with modern Python frameworks and API design.
• Strong knowledge of AsyncIO and distributed architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and large datasets.
• Proven track record building high-load backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a Python-based platform layer integrated with the core system.
• Define patterns for service communication, orchestration, and boundaries.
• Develop scalable, async services for high-load workflows.
• Own API contracts and ensure stability and backward compatibility.
• Improve reliability with observability and robust failure handling.
• Drive testing strategy, CI/CD, and safe rollout practices.
• Collaborate with Platform and Product teams to align with business needs.
• Contribute to long-term platform scalability beyond feature delivery.
