Vacancy: Senior Python Developer – ASML (No Sponsorship – Dutch Residents only)

Location: Eindhoven (hybrid: at least 3 days on-site)

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration: Long-term assignment

Contract type: Detachment via NexUnity (ZZP/freelance not allowed)

Introduction

For one of our leading clients in the high-tech industry, we are looking for a Senior Python Developer to strengthen their DevOps & Software Tooling team. You will play a key role in enabling high-performance development environments for one of the most innovative R&D environments in Europe.

This role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving complex software tools and CI/CD pipelines that directly support the development of next-generation semiconductor equipment. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies in a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal software tools and infrastructure using Python
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bazel, etc.)
• Optimize build systems and enable high-speed software deployment
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Work in an Agile environment and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
• Coach and support team members, promote continuous learning
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers, software developers, and infrastructure specialists
• Participate in on-call support rotation (approx. once every few weeks)

Profile – What You Bring

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• At least 7 years of experience as a software developer or DevOps engineer in complex environments
• Expert-level proficiency in Python
• Experience with Linux environments, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or Google Cloud)
• Familiar with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
• Good understanding of networking, security, and identity/access management
• Experience with Git-based version control (GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) is a plus
• Agile mindset and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Must be eligible to work with export-controlled technology
