Job summary

Selo in Hengelo, Netherlands is seeking a Senior PLC Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control software for process installations in the food industry. You will be actively involved technically and as a connector within the team, driving quality and methods without formal leadership.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in PLC/automation, strong analytical skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Higher professional or university level working and thinking skills in a technical field.
• Experience with PLC/automation (e.g. Siemens or Allen-Bradley).
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge and experience with ANSI/ISA-88, ISO 27001 and the Machinery Regulation.
• Dutch and English language proficiency.
• You communicate easily and connect people.

Responsibilities

• You contribute to finding solutions for clients and translate this into a software architecture.
• You design, develop, and maintain advanced control software.
• You support and coach colleagues on complex technical issues.

What will you do as a Senior PLC Software Engineer?

As a Senior PLC Software Engineer, you work on designing, developing, and maintaining control software for process installations within the food industry. You are actively involved in the technical side, but also play an important role within the team.

You are a driving force: someone who maintains an overview, takes initiative, and helps colleagues advance. You do not have a formal leadership role, but you are a natural point of contact and actively contribute to the quality and working methods within the team.

Tasks and responsibilities
