Job summary

Damen Naval in Vlissingen seeks a Senior Engineer Plans & Arrangements to strengthen its Plans & Arrangements (P&A) team within the Engineering department. You will develop statutory plans based on ship specifications and stakeholder requirements, collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with applicable rules and standards.

Qualifications

• Secondary vocational education (MBO-4+) related to an outfitting or engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience drafting statutory plans.
• Knowledge of Class and Statutory regulations, ideally in shipbuilding or offshore contexts.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (MicroStation, SolidWorks, 3DExperience/CATIA).
• Strong English language skills (written and spoken).
• Pre-employment security screening is part of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse norms, rules, regulations and customer requirements for assigned plans.
• Independently prepare statutory plans using 2D and 3D software per standards.
• Identify challenges and discuss with Lead Engineer P&A, proposing solutions.
• Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to reach optimal technical outcomes.
• Adapt to evolving project needs and stay updated with latest developments.
• Contribute to ongoing development of the P&A department.
