Introduction to the job

As part of the strategy to advance our capabilities in our physical and digital identity domain, our Risk, Business Assurance and Security (RBA&S) team is seeking a physical security compliance specialist for our global Physical Identity team to keep ASML’s assets secure. As a Senior physical security compliance specialist, you will contribute to continuously developing the maturity of RBA&S 2nd line Physical Identity, supporting ASML in its physical security compliance journey.

Role and responsibilities

The Senior physical security compliance specialist reports into the Physical security compliance manager and the role is primarily focused on the Europe region. You will be part of the 2nd line Physical Identity team currently consisting of 8 people spread across various regions and expected to grow to around 20 people in the coming years. This team operates in the 3 lines of responsibility model. In this model, the 1st line is responsible for managing risk (e.g., physical security operations), the 2nd line is responsible for setting requirements and challenging/verifying control effectiveness (e.g., physical security policy framework and physical security assessments), and the 3rd line provides independent assurance (e.g., internal audit).

In this position, you will:

  • Ensure that requirements and controls are established and monitored at regular intervals through measurement points during construction projects, and especially within the standing organization; this includes periodically testing the effectiveness of controls using PSA or other mechanisms
  • Document assessment results, coordinate the follow up and support on providing the needed improvements to the stakeholders
  • Ensure ASML complies with physical security policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Support the 1st line department in the creation of physical security plans for ASML locations, including acceptance and commissioning
  • Define, develop and maintain physical security policies, standards and baselines and manage the lifecycle of these documents
  • Actively provide guidance and advice on physical security to all relevant stakeholders
Education and experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in executing high quality assessments/auditing, documenting, reporting and follow up
  • 3-6 years of experience in physical security
  • ASIS certification (APP, PSP, CPP) or willingness to obtain one

Other information
  • The role requires about 15% travel.
  • A Certificate of Good Conduct “Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG)” is required for this position.
