Job summary

ScanGo is hiring a Senior Developer to take technical responsibility for systems used by motorists and enforcers in the Netherlands. You will build features in PHP/Laravel, review code, and mentor teammates to translate customer needs into robust solutions.

You will work with the product and development teams, and with colleagues in Giant Leap. The role offers flexible hybrid working, Dutch and English fluency, and a meaningful societal impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer with strong PHP knowledge (preferably Laravel).
• Extensive experience with REST APIs, relational databases, and scalable backend architecture, including caching and messaging (Redis, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with or interest in AI-driven development methods.
• You take technical ownership and support other developers in an Agile team.

Responsibilities

• Build features in PHP and Laravel; review code and ensure quality.
• Help other developers turn customer needs into solid solutions.
• Design and deliver secure, scalable and reliable solutions for clients in the Dutch public sector.
• Collaborate closely with product and development teams and with colleagues from Giant Leap.
