ESA in Noordwijk, NL seeks a Photonic EEEE Engineer to provide expert technical support for photonic and detector EEEE activities across project phases. The role involves defining technology development requirements, initiating R&D activities, and exploring innovative applications in collaboration with the Avionics and EEE Division.

You will contribute to standardisation efforts (ESCC/ECSS) and disseminate knowledge while engaging in feasibility studies and reviews.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in physics, electronics, photonics, optoelectronics or related discipline with ~4 years professional experience.
• Experience with space projects or products is an asset.
• Background in EEEE components and detectors is desirable.

• Provide expert technical support to ESA projects in photonic and detector EEEE across project phases.
• Contribute to technology development requirements and work plans for ESA programmes.
• Define and manage R&D activities for long- and short-term needs.
• Foster new application areas for multidisciplinary, cutting-edge technologies.
• Support standardisation activities (ESCC/ECSS) and disseminate results across the Agency.
• Participate in feasibility studies, project reviews and procurement evaluations.
