Job summary

ITproposal is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to ensure speed, stability, and scalability across a complex IT landscape. You will design and execute performance tests, analyze deep metrics, and advise on bottlenecks and optimization within an Agile/DevOps setup.

The role requires at least 6 years of relevant experience and an HBO/WO IT degree. Travel up to 50% is possible, and the position is based in Heerlen with hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in testing and performance engineering.
• Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze performance tests (load, stress, endurance).
• Identify bottlenecks and translate findings into improvements.
• Advise product teams on performance best practices and optimization paths.
• Integrate performance tooling into CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners across streams.
