Suited is seeking a Senior Oracle ExaCC Implementation Expert / Lead Engineer to design, validate, implement, and operationalize a new Exadata Cloud@Customer platform. The role combines hands-on engineering with senior technical guidance to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable deployment from the start.

You will drive end-to-end ExaCC initiatives, review architecture, define governance, and mentor the team in a DevOps-friendly, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

As a Senior Oracle ExaCC Implementation Expert / Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, validation, implementation, and operational readiness of a new Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) platform. This is a greenfield infrastructure trajectory in which we are looking for a highly experienced and independent expert who can both contribute hands‑on and provide senior technical guidance, challenge design decisions, and help ensure that the platform is set up securely, reliably, and sustainably from the start.

Closely related to the ExaCC implementation is the implementation and operation of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Oracle Key Vault (OKV), as part of a robust security, compliance, and governance setup suitable for a regulated environment.

You will work closely with Oracle, infrastructure, networking, security, compliance, operations, and application teams in a DevOps environment where automation, reliability, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement are core principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively drive and execute the end‑to‑end implementation of Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) platforms in a new infrastructure setup
• Act as an independent senior expert to review, challenge, and validate architecture, implementation choices, security controls, and operational decisions
• Help define the target architecture, reference patterns, implementation roadmap, standards, and governance for the ExaCC platform
• Hands‑on engineering and configuration of secure database environments, including: Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) Oracle Key Vault (OKV)
• Build, configure, and automate infrastructure components using Ansible, Python, Git, Azure DevOps
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for ExaCC environments
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Perform hands‑on migration and onboarding of databases to ExaCC
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and database issues
• Implement and validate security controls with focus on encryption
• Work closely with security and compliance teams
• Ensure operational readiness, including monitoring, alerting, backup and recovery, patching, lifecycle management, incident handling, disaster recovery, high availability, and runbooks
• Mentor and enable team members through hands‑on contribution, design walkthroughs, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and translate complex technical topics into clear decisions, risks, and recommendations
• Continuously improve reliability, performance, and automation

Who You Are

• Senior Oracle engineer or architect with deep Exadata and ExaCC expertise
• Used to working closely with Solution Architects and Project/Roadmap Managers
• Experience with greenfield or first‑time ExaCC implementations, preferably in large enterprise or regulated environments
• Demonstrated experience implementing TDE in complex environments
• Strong focus on security and compliance
• Able to provide an independent expert view, challenge assumptions constructively, and guide teams toward sustainable technical decisions
• Passionate about hands‑on engineering and automation
• Strong communicator, stakeholder manager, and team player who can operate at both engineering and architecture level

Must‑have experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and related infrastructure components
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and ExaCC API interfaces
• Proven hands‑on ExaCC implementation experience, including setup, configuration, validation, and operational handover
• Proven TDE implementation experience (setup, migration, lifecycle)
• Experience with Oracle Key Vault (OKV)
• Knowledge of Oracle security architecture, networking, and LDAP
• Experience with Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with security and compliance in regulated environments
• Experience defining or reviewing architecture, implementation roadmaps, security designs, operational runbooks, and automation standards
