Job summary

WLG is seeking an experienced operational analyst to support capability development through rigorous analysis, assessments and evidence packages. The role involves planning qualitative and quantitative studies, coordinating with nations and industry, and presenting well-structured briefs to decision-makers.

Required is a quantitative degree or 5+ years leading OA studies, plus fluent English. Expect occasional travel and a long-term renewal engagement with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in operations research, mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering or equivalent quantitative subject.
• Five or more years leading operational analysis studies.

Responsibilities

• Course of action analysis using operations research methods in support of capability development.
• Plan and run research to assess operational effectiveness and cost-effectiveness.
• Engage research entities and industry to evaluate alternatives.
• Support information requests and surveys to nations, NGOs and industry.
• Analyse risk impacts and propose mitigation strategies.
• Review cost and schedule estimates for quality and evidence.
• Document comparative assessments to inform programme decisions.
• Produce decision briefs and brief decision-makers.
• Write analysis reports forming the capability programme evidence package.
• Travel to meetings and conferences up to ~60 days per year.
